The coming winter he...A lovely reflection of life. The coming winter here is fast upon us. We have two horses in our paddock and they soon will depart for their winter retreat in southern California. We built the pen and converted a shed into a run-in this past fall. It has been wonderful to see Maria, our 6 year old Morgan, looking up to the house at us each morning from across the wetlands. We will miss her but last winter was too hard on her with over two feet of snow cutting us off from her winter quarters just six miles away. She and a buddy slated to go west are out there tonight as the temperature drops to near zero. <br /><br />We ourselves will move west at Christmas and perhaps stay for awhile. The winters are beautiful here but hard.<br /><br />We have been approached to produce a TV show about organic farming that we would tape in the spring in Georgia.
